RAW's Front Office Gets Ragebaited
Even worse, bro wasn't even ragebaiting

Aiden Ortiz posted a 40 second video on July 7th saying Raw Nutrition’s rebrand looked like boring corporate slop, and that he hasn’t liked their releases since ESN bought the brand.
He’s a small creator (under 6k on Tiktok, Under 2k on Instagram) mostly known for cream of rice reviews.
Not a threat, just a guy with an opinion.
Then all hell broke loose. After scanning the comments, it seemed like there was a company-wide email telling everyone to defend the rebrand.
And while they had all the time in the world to argue with Aiden, they didn’t bother to respond to a former employee.
The CEO, one of the Co-Founders Matt Jansen, and even the creative director started chirping after this 40-second clip.
We start with the first comment from the CEO, Domenic Iacovone
“ Incredible. Someone speaking on a subject they know nothing about… we haven’t changed one formula and yes we are changing our packaging due to retail presence and being more unified on shelf. What’s worse is someone talking shit when they are clearly sponsored by our competitors. I am 100% certain that @sethferoce and @bobby_dautrich would never tolerate someone representing their brand and speaking like this about others. Sad story man, as long as I’m with this brand the products will always be 100%, quality 100% and everything in between. If you have an opinion that’s fine, but you are not the majority”
Couple things here. Clearly, it’s not “fine if you have an opinion” because you’re trying to summon Seth Feroce and Bobby Dautrich like they’re the boogeymen and implying that they should strike him down as an affiliate for this behavior.
Working off of that, bro just holds an affiliate code. For most big companies, those aren’t hard to get. Seth and Bobby probably don’t even know he exists, much less care that he’s giving an opinion on a competing product line.
Aiden replies that he’s just a creator with an opinion. Then more comments roll in. Matt Jansen, co-founder of RAW and accomplished coach.
“I would challenge you do to some research on the amount of testing we do vs other sports nutrition companies”
As I went down the thread, it was apparent that no one was listening to each other.
Whether it’s protein bars, cream of rice, creatine, etc, Aiden’s videos overall focus on the taste and texture of these products. He’s not breaking down these formulas and calling out suboptimal doses, or calling any supplements bullshit altogether. Even so, the RAW team seemed to ignore this, or didn’t care to ask for clarification. There were times where these people were close to understanding the point, but ended up missing it.
I am just a consumer pointing out changes I've noticed in the past 6 months, I am not a "sponsored athlete" I am just an affiliate and I try products from different brands regularly. To try and attack me and say I know nothing when I've as well as others have been using your products for years and are noticing a dip in quality is silly.
The only thing we've done to our products is pull more fillers / artificial colors etc out to make them cleaner. Does that change the taste? Yes but we are certifying all of our products through informed sport and doing more due diligence on what is in them. Did the taste change on some? Yes, quality go down? Actually the furthest thing from the truth. As we get older and smarter we just have realized we care more about making the products as clean as possible. If you'd like the support on all of this I would gladly give it to you. And apologies for making an assumption, you have them tagged as if you were a sponsored athlete in your bio. Also would be happy to put my money where my mouth is with testing on any and all of it.
It’s clear in these comments and his content that he’s not arguing the effectiveness of their products after the rebrand. Yet, Domenic and the team continue to harp on ingredient testing. Everyone’s arguing different points throughout this thread.
And still, Domenic is implying that this was ragebait so Adian could get more affiliate sales for the products he pushes.
Well first, we ran multiple consumer surveys with thousands of customers before this rebrand. The ones who have been loyal to us. It's difficult to take this at all seriously when the only products he speaks poorly about are the ones he has sponsorships from other companies for. Again; there's a better way to promote the products you push. This isn't it.
why do you keep saying I'm a sponsored athlete 😭😭 I'm literally not pushing any products in this video at all I'm just speaking about personal experience
because you have two brands tagged in your bio. And have codes associated in other videos on your page…. Is this a real question?
This is like watching a boomer at the Apple store argue about their T-Mobile bill. I have a hard time believing that a well connected co-founder of a huge supplement brand doesn’t understand the difference between a fully backed athlete and a lower-level affiliate.
@sethferoce and @bobby_dautrich are good friends of mine I am certain they don't know this kid is doing this, hell they probably don't even know he exists. He is an ambassador putting the brand in his bio like he's an athlete
As if this isn’t how everyone has displayed their affiliate companies since the dawn of bios.
I’ll close the comments with a word from the Creative Director or RAW Nutrition, Jack Zuver.
I take this as a positive. We’ve grown this brand exponentially in the last year, made more noise than any brand in this industry so of course we will be met with some opposition. Thankfully the only thing that should truly matter when it comes to sports nutrition (quality, purity, tested ingredients) have only gotten better with the rebrand and if anyone were to challenge that we have the receipts to prove our case. One guys opinion on taste doesn’t bother me a bit, that’s just an opinion, the way the message was hooked and worded was of course attention seeking, that will only hurt him as he tries to find sponsors in this industry, no brands tolerate bashing of other brands so this wasn’t the wisest move on his end. But everyone’s entitled to their own opinion man, appreciate the kid giving our brand even more eyes. No such thing as bad press.
Yup, seems totally unbothered. “Good luck, you’ll never work in this town again, kid!”
As I was initially reading, I thought that it was a HUGE misunderstanding and that maybe Aidan was only talking about the packaging, so I asked him to clarify in the comments.
I've watched this video 4 times trying to figure out where exactly you shit talked the products... I can see MAYBE because you said the flavored creatine, cream of rice were shit, but that was prefaced with "The rebrand sucks" - which would lead one to assume you mean the rebrand of those lmfao - then I see everyone spouting off about the formulas 💀 For the people, can you clarify whether you only meant the packaging is shit or you meant the new product formulas are shit? 🗿
nothing about new formulas or anything, I am purely talking from a taste standpoint the products I’ve tried since their rebranding. I also don’t like their new packaging but that is a side tangent lmao
There you have it. The supplement’s formulas and effectiveness are not on trial, he’s saying the taste sucks now. Which is a fair criticism of any brand.
Although this main story is just people arguing online, there was a buried comment that revealed a deeper story that I thought was interesting.
This comment came from Jordan Quick (@jquick16) who I did confirm he actually worked for RAW Nutrition as a rep, and he voiced his frustration with the company’s operation after the acquisition.
Just saying this because I see some of my former head honchos in here, and it seems like speaking negatively about the brand is the only way to get their attention.
Ever since the company was bought by ESN, yes, they did a rebrand — and I still think the product is great — but behind closed doors, they don’t talk about what happened to a lot of their remote workers and reps.
I was with the company for over a year before the purchase. I had a full-time position as a field marketing rep, and then almost out of nowhere, we started losing benefits and opportunities to participate in events. Then suddenly, I lost my schedule and was told I could no longer work in my area. Instead, I would have to travel over two hours in a day just to work, only to wait until the 15th of the following month to get paid — when it used to be the same day or the week after.
We lost the exclusive benefits we had as employees and were basically made to feel like if we didn’t live in a major city, we didn’t matter. Then, after they “rebranded the entire program,” they pushed TikTok Shop and Amazon affiliate links in our faces and made people who had been with the company for a long time start from square one.
On top of that, it felt like they couldn’t make up their mind about who was even in charge of the program most of the time. Before the rebrand, it was consistent, welcoming, and you actually felt like you were a part of something. After the rebrand, it all went downhill.
I honestly feel done wrong by a company that I spent so much time, energy, and money advocating for. I was finally starting to make progress, just for them to take it away from me. I’m disappointed with how everything was handled, and because of that, I’ve moved on to support another company.
Working for them used to be fun. Now it just feels like straight slop.
There are always going to be growing pains with companies. Especially with as messy as acquisitions can be; but the way this particular situation was handled does not seem to line up with how the RAW team positions themselves, at least in the comment section; and I doubt Jordan is the only one who experienced this.
I talked further with Jordan and a few other things came up with his experience at RAW as a field marketing rep.
Any time there was an issue or problem with how things were being run, it was met with hostility by not only his superiors, but also other reps.
Florida reps always seemed to get glazed (Florida is where they’re headquartered
Apparently, it was always Florida people “winning the giveaways”
Others who brought up issues were kicked out or straight up ignored
I think it’s important to note that Jordan was in a full-time customer facing role and not just an Instagram user with a discount code.
One day, all of a sudden, they told him that they could not give him a budget, his area was not essential, and that he would have to drive to Texas to keep him hired on (he lives in Missouri).
Businesses are free to operate how they please, and there is a possibility that we’re missing a part of the story here; but how it reads so far is that you had someone who was working, making sales since he was with them for over a year, and then got his knees taken out after the acquisition.
RAW’s leadership responded to Aiden almost every time. They responded to randos in the comment section and spent their afternoon defending testing and formulas that no one criticized.
They never responded to Jordan.
(As of 9:21pm EST 7-13-2026)
Crystal Pump is still 50% off while it lasts, a not quite going out of business sale, as Steve puts it. There will be a return, just not sure what it looks like yet.
And yes I am certainly only writing this to push my affiliate codes and not because I enjoy writing or saw an interesting story unfold (For legal reasons, this is sarcasm).
I also will not be taking any money for Crystal Pumps tubs sold from my link.

USE CODE MONDAY10 FOR LIFTER DISCOUNT - or don’t if it messes up the 50% off
