RIP Muscular Development, Meat Growth Cream, 212 Recap, Neckzilla Turns Pro

Much to discuss today.

Powered by

GM,

Today we got Neckzilla turning pro and competing against the big boys, insta-grow for your salami, and a bodybuilding publishing icon shutting down. First newsletter in a while, so still getting back into it, any feedback is appreciated.

The elites tried their hardest to keep it away from us. They even had the original manufacturer take Crystal Pump’s money and run. Sick shit, but we are back, despite the horrors.

If you’re looking for a preworkout that emphasizes clean caffeine, mental clarity, and sick pumps, check out this week’s sponsor: Crystal Pump.

Some of the Monday Iron gang have already tried it and loved it, give it a shot. Orders ship this week.

It’s not a preworkout, it’s an experience.

Thank you mustache man, let’s get into this week.

Lifter Discoveries: Meat Growth Cream

Human petri dish Ryan Russo is back with another groundbreaking discovery promising instant schmeat gains with a simple cream.

If you’ve ever looked into hair loss treatment, you may have come across DHT-blocking shampoo, which saves your hair by decreasing this hormone. DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is a hormone involved in the growth and repair of the prostate, the production of sebum, and body hair composition.

In Ryan’s video, he goes over how a daily application of DHT cream can increase girth and length instantly.

Absolutely bananas discovery by our boy, but he does warn that you could hypermasculinize your girl if you have DHT remnants on you. (Disregard if you want your gf to be a cool gf).

New Iron Gains Track

A brand new lifta track has been dropped by the absolute boys at Dark Iron Gains.

MK677-Ultra is a transcendent anabolic experience that is almost guaranteed to give you a boost when you need it the most (running over pedestrians).

Mr. Olympia 212 Recap

A few days ago, Tyler Manion (VP of the NPC) provided a recap of the Mr. Olympia 212 competition. He breaks down the judging pose-by-pose between Shawn Clarida and Keone Pearson.

Judging at the Olympia has always faced criticism whether it’s allegations of playing politics or other unfair practices, so these types of breakdowns from the top really help with transparency.

With Shawn Clarida losing his title as the top 212 competitor this year, these breakdowns are even more important.

The original video is on Tyler’s Instagram, but also feel free to watch it here.

Neckzilla vs Samson Dauda

Rubiel Mosquera, known for having one of the largest fucking necks known to man, earned his IFBB Pro Card and just yesterday competed against top bodybuilders including Samson Dauda, Michal Krinzanek, and Marcello de Angelis.

The 2023 EVLS Prague Pro took place yesterday with Samson Dauda taking first, Michal Kriznaek taking second, and Rubiel Mosquera taking third.

If Rubiel can continue to hang with Samson (who took third at this year’s Olympia), we’ll be seeing a lot more of him on the Olympia stage. Don’t know how he’s gonna balance out the massive but it’ll be interesting to see.

Muscular Development Ceases Publication

One of the oldest and most well-known bodybuilding magazines, Muscular Development is shutting down after over 50 years in print.

The news seemed to break after Rick Collins, a contributor for over 22 years, took to Facebook to announce his departure from MD, likely after the notice was given to advertisers and contributors.

“It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to Official Muscular Development Magazine. After 250 monthly columns spread out over 22 years, touching on all things fitness, hormones, law, and culture, I have been advised that the magazine is closing up shop and will print no further issues. So sad. When I started, print was still a powerhouse and social media didn’t yet exist. It’s a different world now. I will deeply miss working with the members of Team MD, and I wish them well in all their future endeavors.

Rick Collins

I came across an email sent to a former MD contributor by their managing editor, Alan Golnick. In short, the email stated that not only will the magazine be shutting down, but the website will also not be posting new content.

Nothing further has been released at this time, but it doesn’t look like there will be an attempt at a rebrand. Just goes to show that glory is fleeting, but the impact they’ve had on millions of people getting involved in fitness is not.

Redcon1 Mold Ops

Price Plow brought up another instance of Redcon1’s products either going bad while on store shelves. In this case, it is their cookie-brownie combo.

While these types of issues are not uncommon for these types of products, it should be a good reminder to check your protein-[insert any desert] for mold.

Now, this could all be solved if we stopped making “protein-everything” and just ate normal shit without sugar alcohols and God knows what.

CRYSTAL PUMP IS OFFICIALLY BACK

THE ANABOLIC ELIXIR HAS RETURNED. After getting bent over and railed by a thieving manufacturer, Strongman Steve has clawed his way out of bankruptcy and has two flavors back in stock from this latest product run.

Blue Razz Ice Pop and Fruit Pump are smooth, they’ll boost your mood, and keep you focused during your lifts.

I sat down with Steve the other day to talk about the return and lot of other shit, getting those clips out asap; will likely be on one of the radio shows.

Until then, consider copping some; get some gains while supporting the page.
