Ronnie Coleman builds "a MILLION DOLLAR Gym"
Inside the King's new business venture with Panatta.
Last year, Ronnie Coleman visited Apiro, Italy to meet with Panatta, a premium strength equipment manufacturer.
While the 8-time Mr. Olympia champion needs no introduction, Panatta is a relatively new player in the strength space.
Panatta is an Italian strength equipment manufacturer with a mission “to design and make aesthetically pleasing, functional, reliable, long-lasting and competitively priced equipment for real physical training.”
Its ambassadors include Ronnie Coleman, Phil Heath, Big Ramy, Will Bonac, Hany Rambod, Sergio Oliva Jr., Matilde Biagini, Roberta Darrigo, and Bob Chicerillo.
During his visit, Ronnie toured the facility, tested out equipment, and began to collaborate with Panatta to create the co-branded Ronnie Coleman Signature Series Strength Equipment with luxury leather stitching and contrast piping.
This video from last year gives more details on future plans for the collaboration between Ronnie Coleman Signature Series and Panatta including trade shows and other international collaborations:
Fast forward to the current day, Ronnie partnered with Primo Fitness in Orlando, Florida to house the equipment and be the official home of the Ronnie Coleman Signature Series Gym.
As shown in the video, Ronnie has been collaborating with fitness creators and athletes Derek Lunsford, Phil Heath, Jujimufu, and more leading up to the official opening.
The Panatta / Primo partnerships seems like a completely natural next step for someone as accomplished as Ronnie Coleman, more so than his recent YoungLA Partnership that got mixed reactions from fans.
From what I can tell, the equipment looks solid and I’m sure the influence that Ronnie and other athletes have are going to make this facility the place to be for lifters in Orlando.
