New Sam Sulek x Hosstile Interview
Newly signed Hosstile athlete, Sam Sulek met up with Fouad Abiad and Paul Lauzon to discuss training, nutrition, and to learn more about who Sam Sulek really is.
Mentzer Tapes Available on Spotify
The full 1997 audio tape series of Mike Mentzer’s High Intensity Training Program is now available to stream on Monday Iron Radio.
I found the series on YouTube and wanted to listen without having to keep my screen on, so I threw it on my own Spotify profile. It’s a great introduction to HIT and the mind of Mike himself, including learning about some of the industry drama that led Mike to be ostracized.
There are 4 episodes, I would advise listening to all of them.

Classic Physique Changes Weight Requirements
NPC-IFBB Vice President Tyler Manion posted a video on Instagram explaining the new weight requirements for the Classic Physique division. He explains that these changes were made after realizing that taller competitors had an advantage over shorter ones.
These are the new height and weight requirements, via the IFBB website.
According to Manion, a frequent question the IFBB gets is about having height cards for competitors. The short answer is yes, there will be height cards.
Here’s how they will determine height:
Due to factors like athlete posture, dishonesty, and measurements being affected by water retention, an athlete’s height will be measured 3 times after receiving their pro card, and the average of those measurements will be their competition height.
Based off of the comments under the original post, this would make classic physique much more competitive and potentially have athletes like Breon Ansley come back to the division.
Breon had previously stated that 2022 would be his last year competing in Classic Physique due to the previous weight cap.
By the way, if you’re reading this and you know a shit ton about bodybuilding and could write interesting or more in-depth stories, hit me up. My knowledge is getting more limited now that I focus on different things, would love to have another writer here.
Hunter Labrada Wins Tampa Pro
Hunter Labrada takes first at the 2023 Tampa Pro with what commentators are calling it his best package that he’s ever brought.

Underdog Energy Releasing Blue Razz
The absolute boys at The Underdog Brand are finally coming out with a new flavor for their RTD preworkout, Blue Raspberry.
Personally, I despise blue razz flavored products. This is mainly because the Cellucor (cowards who hate memes) C4 Ultimate was undrinkable.
However, judging on how UD got the Strawberry Lemonade flavor right, I have faith that this will be good.
Rafi’s Desk
I’m pretty hyped about things right now. It was recently revealed to me how little I’ve been eating, and the fact that I’ve managed to gain any size or strength ever is nothing short of a miracle.
Nutrition has always been hard for me whether it was eating enough of the right stuff or eating enough in general. Recent stress has also killed my appetite on most days. But as I’m finishing this email, I’ve almost completed the full day of eating from the new meal plan that I got from my good friend Jake Sadler Fitness.
We’ve been friends for awhile, so I’ve personally seen his journey from 315lbs, down to 160, and back up to 180+ in the last couple of years. And with his recent nutrition certification, its clear that he knows what he’s doing.
So I’m really looking forward to actually being fueled for training and excited to see what progress I can make with proper nutrition.
Hope you all have a banger week, let’s get it.
